Crotona Students at the All American High School Film Festival

Crotona IHS CTE
Before our week flies by, I wanted to  share this past Saturday 15 Crotona students went on a trip to the  All American High School Film Festival at AMC Theater in Times Square. They joined over 500 high school students, coming from all over the United States,  to experience a day watching student made films from all parts of the country, including our very own Crotona Students from last year; Tania Camarillo, Jendry Hiciano, Maria Colon, and Oliver Hernandez, screened their migration stories in the big theater for many to watch. Students also experienced a media arts college fair to learn about higher education opportunities  in the media arts industry.
Most importantly, they had a lot of fun, and are more enthused about CTE. Next year, we aim to have continued representation from Crotona IHS student made films! Thank you to Crotona IHS, our principal Shweta Ratra, and Zaimoon Ally for supporting this trip!
Please congratulate these students for representing Crotona International High School with pride and getting out of their comfort zone! Yasmine Kone, Nicely Pimentel, Ramon Garcia, Dariel Eusebio, Brinda Kemgne,Ali Shahid, Madhi Chowdhury, Lianny De La Cruz, Julio Rivera, Scarlet Morillo, Orlenys Contreras from Platinum, Luis Garcia and Anyeska Mendoza from  Emerald, and Alfa Toga Aichatou from Gold. – Ms. Betty Bastidas
