Students can earn 3-9 college credits at BMCC and Hostos Community College through the Media Arts & Technology department if they complete a CTE portfolio, Adobe Premiere Certification, and graduate with a CTE endorsement.
The Media Arts and Technology (MEA) Department provides a dynamic education in the fast-growing field of digital design and communication technology. From computer graphics to web design, and from programming for games and animation to storytelling in HD video, the MEA department offers a variety of courses and concentrations focused on the exciting future of media in the post-digital age.

BronxNet TV
offers 5-10 paid internships during the year and also for Summer Youth (SYEP).
BronxNet provides hands-on television production training, equipment access and channels for Bronx residents. Award-winning BronxNet programs keep BronxNet in touch with the people, issues, neighborhoods and activities that make the borough what it is today. High school and college students can prepare for media careers behind and in front of the camera through BronxNet’s Training Program for Future Media Professionals.
The Glass Files/Metabronx
www.theglassfiles.com offers 30-40 paid IT and entrepreneurship internships. They also host interdisciplinary workshops in History & CTE.
Learn History by preserving family stories.
Balbuena Graphics offers 3-6 paid graphic design internships during the year and also for Summer Youth (SYEP).
Students apply and interview for internships at the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo during the school year eventually leading to summer jobs.
