Crotona IHS students can participate and earn $15/hr, 4-6 hours per week for 60-80 hours total through school-funded CTE internships. Students can work ONLY one paid 60 hr internship per year. If you worked an internship last school year, you can now apply!

STEPS TO APPLY:

1. With help from Mrs. Shanneell, complete the >>STUDENT EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION FORM<< (please select internship type: Supplemental Internship Fund (SIF) or CTE ISP (12th grade students only). You do not need working papers.
2. Make an appointment with Jessica Marsten >>Schedule a Virtual Verification via Calendly<< for an in person (remote) verification session. You need to show two forms of ID and your digital i-9 form completed before with Shanneell.

5. The Internship Coordinator adds students to one of the 3 internships listed below based on their interest.
6. Student and/or parent signs digital agreement (parent signs if the student is not 18).
7. Students must wait to receive an email so please check your email often. The subject line is: “CTE Internship Enrollment Confirmation”.
8. Read the email. >>You can create an online bank account<< and set up direct deposit instead of waiting for the payroll card.

9. 10 days after you registered for the Participant payroll portal, you will receive an ATM card if you did not set up direct deposit. If you never received the card complete this form.
10. GETTING PAID: These are the instructions. Enter your hour every week (Fridays) in the Participant Payroll Portal and have your supervisor sign-off. You will not get paid if you do not submit your timesheets every Friday!!!

offers 3-10 paid internships during the year and also for Summer Youth (SYEP).

BronxNet provides hands-on television production training, equipment access and channels for Bronx residents. Award-winning BronxNet programs keep BronxNet in touch with the people, issues, neighborhoods and activities that make the borough what it is today. High school and college students can prepare for media careers behind and in front of the camera through BronxNet’s Training Program for Future Media Professionals.
